Affinity OverviewTrelligence Affinity™ is software focused on enhancing the early architectural design process with a unique programming, space planning and schematic design solution. Targeted at the worldwide architectural, engineering, construction and owner/developer (AECO) market, the Trelligence Affinity patent-pending software integrates with ArchiCAD from Graphisoft, Revit Architecture from Autodesk, SketchUp from Google, VE-Gaia and VE- Navigator for LEED® from IES, and other design tools to extend the benefits of building information modeling (BIM) - faster planning, less rework, and better team collaboration - to the early design phases of complex building projects.

The templates allow the client to easily configure Affinity to fit different types of building projects – from healthcare, to corporate interiors, to education / government institution to science and technology, hospitality and others – ensuring domain knowledge is shared and available to all members of the team. Clients also use Affinity for early-stage estimating, for assisting with go/no-go assessments, and for early sustainability analysis. With Affinity as an accurate design analysis tool, the entire project team benefits. Separating Conceptual & Schematic Design from Detailed DesignFor many building projects, the early design work is led by team members with a different skill set than the design and CAD/BIM specialists. Moreover, today’s design tools do not offer the ability to capture detailed program requirements such as space adjacencies and abstract constraints. Affinity is an ideal tool for the client-facing architect or engineer who is not an expert in CAD and BIM modeling software. The work done in Affinity can be integrated into the design tools without losing the information recorded in the program and without redrawing the schematic. Affinity and Affinity BIM Integration ToolsAffinity for ArchiCAD and Affinity for Revit deliver bi-directional integration with ArchiCAD and Revit Architecture. The Affinity model is easily loaded into these BIM tools, providing the designer with real-time access to the Affinity space program and detailed project requirements throughout the design phase. As the design progresses, Affinity provides ongoing analysis of the design's compliance to the program requirements, alerting the designer to program violations, and enabling the design team to make informed decisions - reducing later rework and helping to deliver designs that meet the client's requirements. Affinity – is stand-alone software for programming and schematic design. Affinity for ArchiCAD – is both the Affinity application and bi-directional integration to ArchiCAD from Graphisoft. Affinity for ArchiCAD is compatible with ArchiCAD versions 13 and 14 (32- and 64-bit). Affinity for Revit – is both the Affinity application and bi-directional integration to Revit Architecture from Autodesk. Affinity for Revit is compatible with Revit Architecture versions 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 (32- & 64-bit). Affinity also features bi-directional integration with Google SketchUp 7.x & 8.x, and IES-VE Gaia and VE-Navigator for LEED®. Affinity & CAD Software and Other File TypesAffinity files can be exported as DXF files and imported into the CAD software or estimation tool of your choice. This allows the design team to smoothly move from schematic to detailed design without recreating the initial plan. Other available file types include GBXML, IFC 2x3, SVG, JPG, & CSV. Please fill out our Request Information form to tell us what additional integration you are interested in for Affinity.
